This family house in the Western Cape of Cape Town is truly amazing. It is a 4 bedroomed home with ocean views, in the exclusive & wind-free suburb of Fresnaye. We stayed here with 2 families: 4 adults and 5 children and had plenty of space. The house is centrally located, 5 minutes from town and Camps Bay. It’s a nice and secure neighborhood just a few blocks from the ocean and the waterfront.
This beautiful home is child friendly, secure & designed for both indoor & outdoor comfort and entertainment. Owner Nicky surely has a feel for interior design; the house is packed with nice furniture and art work. This said, it is also a heaven for (well behaving) kids.
You will find a swimming pool, jungle gym, a big lawn to play on, trampoline and heaps of games and books. And not to forget a huge smart TV with tons of movies and series. All rooms are very comfortable (not all with air conditioning though). And the kitchen will fulfill the needs of every amateur chef. Or simple relax and enjoy the terrace and BBQ set up. The house comes with the service of a maid so you might want to discuss this upfront in case you are up for some privacy.
Cape Town is a nice city with a number of activities to do as a family. If you're looking for action you can go horse riding on the beach, kiteboarding or paragliding. There is also a surf school and you can find yourself kayaking along the Atlantic. For adults a wide range of Golf Clubs is available too.
Our kids are very into the animals of South Africa: so ofcourse we didn't want to miss the (endangered) African Penguins on the Boulders Beach. Another option is the Cheetah Outreach close by. The World of Birds is the largest bird park in Africa. And there's the Oceans Aquarium. Nature lovers could have a picnic or get an ice cream at Green Point Park of do a trail at Kirstenbosch National Botanic Park. And we took the chance to visit one of the many wine estates in the Cape Region. Followed by a nice dinner at the Tokara Restaurant in Stellenbosch with a great natural playground.
And last but not least to mention is sightseeing at the 9 kilometer road Chapman's Peak Drive; one of the most magnificent ocean drives on the world.
WOW
