Nestled in a serene corner of the globe, our two families find a slice of paradise that seamlessly blends the thrill of adventure with the comforts of a home away from home. This exquisite destination, Family House Elements, which we are fortunate to call ours for a week, cateres to our every whim and fancy. With a huge pool, especially appealing to the vibrant spirits of our children, aged 12 and 15. The heart of our experience lay in the meticulously designed residence that stands as a testament to elegance and comfort.

The open-plan living area, bathed in natural light, welcomes us with open arms, its plush furnishings inviting us to relax and unwind. The bedrooms, each with its unique character, offer sanctuary and solitude, with beds so comfortable, they feel like clouds. The interior décor, a palette of soothing neutrals accented with vibrant hues, mirrors the beauty of the surrounding landscape, bringing the outdoors in. You will love the outdoors by the way, with a beautiful terrace, a wonderful pool with poolchairs to relax and even a gym area to make sure you stay fit during your vacation.

The kitchen, oh the kitchen! It is a culinary enthusiast's dream. Spacious and modern, it is equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and a vast array of utensils. Here, cooking isn't just a chore; it is a delightful activity that brings our families together. Whether it is preparing a lavish breakfast or experimenting with (local) recipes, the kitchen was the heart of our home, pulsating with life and laughter.
Our adventure quotient is significantly dialed up with several times spent bodyboarding in the sea. The exhilarating rush of riding the waves, with the salt spray in our faces and the sun on our backs, is an unforgettable experience. The children, with their boundless energy, took to the sport like fish to water, their cheers echoing across the beach. It is a perfect blend of thrill and fun.
A highlight of our stay is an hour-long horseback ride along the coastline, orchestrated by the team at Herdade do Pessegueiro. It was a journey through breathtaking landscapes, with the sea a constant companion on our right. The mother-daughter duo among us find this experience particularly enchanting, a serene adventure. The well-trained horses, the gentle pace (and a little bit of trot and galop), and the stunning vistas makes this an unforgettable part of our holiday, a serene contrast to the adrenaline of bodyboarding.
As the week unwound, our days fills with exploration, and moments of quiet contemplation, it is clear that this vacation is more than just a break. It is a journey of activities, culinary delights, and the simple joy of being together in a place that felt like home, yet offered the excitement of the unknown.
